What Happens If You Send the Wrong Amount to a Swap?
Mistakes happen. If the amount you sent does not match the order, your funds are not automatically lost. Here is what usually happens in each case.
You sent a little more or less
Small differences, often caused by wallet fees, are usually handled automatically. The swap is recalculated at the current rate for the amount that actually arrived, and you receive the matching payout.
You sent below the minimum
Every pair has a minimum amount. If your deposit is below it, the swap cannot be processed. Contact support with your swap ID and transaction hash. A refund is usually possible, minus network fees.
You sent after the timer expired
Deposit addresses are only valid for a limited time. If you sent after the countdown ended, contact support with your swap ID. Never send again to an expired address.
You sent on the wrong network
This is the hardest case. Sending USDT on ERC20 to a TRC20 address, for example, may not be recoverable. Always check the network shown on the order page before you send.
How to avoid it
- Use the copy button for the amount and address.
- Check whether your wallet subtracts the fee from the amount you send.
- Add a refund address so returns are quick.
- Send within the countdown.
